ELG + Flanagan | Engineered-stone silicosisCONFIDENTIAL CASE SCREENING
Were you diagnosed with silicosis after working with quartz countertops?
If you cut, polished, drilled, installed, or regularly worked near engineered stone, this screening can help the participating attorneys evaluate the information needed for an individual claim.
Submitting a screening does not create an attorney-client relationship. The attorneys must evaluate and accept any representation.
Who the firm is currently screening
- At least one year working around engineered or artificial quartz stone.
- A physician-confirmed diagnosis of silicosis.
- Illinois statewide, diagnosed within five years; or Jefferson, Montgomery, or Mobile County, Alabama, diagnosed within 20 months.
- No current attorney representing the same silicosis claim and no previous settlement or release.
- At least one source identifying the employer, stone product, distributor, coworker witness, or relevant work record.
Information the screening may request
- Dates, places, employers, and types of stone work.
- Diagnosis, treating providers, imaging and other medical tests.
- Product names and records that identify the stone.
- How the lung condition has affected work and daily life.
Suspected diagnoses cannot proceed to signing. Wrongful-death and representative cases require attorney review.
